Hello everyone. I heard that the tacamo type 68 guns have been discontinued. is this true, or have you brought them back?

Thanks, Ben

I've been having a hard time with my type 68 Ak. I bought it last summer and it chops quite a bit. I've tried lowering the velocity, switched to hpa, different barrels, better balls and it still chops. This is by far the best looking AK replica and I'd like to find a way to make it work as good as it looks. Any suggestions?

I used to have the same problem, and it took me a while to solve it.  I've registered just to give you a tip. :)

Reduce the valve spring strength (by screwing out the valve spring adjuster) and reduce the hammer spring strength (by screwing out the velocity adjuster).  If you can, attach a regulator (I recommend a Palmer Stabilizer ) and set the pressure to around 300psi (I run at about that on HPA).  The combination of slower bolt action with lower pressure air, but higher air volume (valve is open longer during the firing cycle) should all but eliminate chops.  After making the adjustments, I've not chopped a single ball since.

The default Tacamo marker comes shipped with a very high valve-spring strength, which requires a correspondingly high hammer-spring strength, which means the bolt hits the paintball hard and fast, giving you the chopping issues.
